All good things...

Dear readers,

It is my sad duty to announce that Parisist.com will be going on hiatus. We're uncertain how long the break will last, and perhaps a re-imagined version will return some time in the future. But for now, our trusty contributors will be left on their own to survive in the harsh Paris springtime, perhaps even forced to venture outdoors. We think they will manage somehow.

So on behalf of the entire Parisist staff, I would like to thank you, our loyal readers, for making Parisist one of the most successful Paris-based blogs on the web.

Merci et à bientôt,

Michael Cosentino
Editor-in-Chief

Say it isn't so! We'll miss you, and the best way to stay current with what's up in the world's greatest city!!!

really sad to hear this! I thought the site had gotten so much more enjoyable under the new leadership. hope this isn't the end end.

I'm so sad to hear this - Parisist has been a wonderful way to keep up with things from the other side of the planet.

Oh no!!! This is horrible, come back soon!

how sad...

Dangit! I live in San Francisco, California and have just started reading Parisist.

I'm going to be visiting Paris for a week in late May and wanted to get sort of a day to day sense of culture on the ground (as opposed to all the tourist info) and you guys were providing a great source... I really want to discover the side of Paris that is more like the Mission District here in San Francisco where I live... where artists abound and cafes fill with people plotting political revolutions :)

Anyway hope to see some form of Parisist continue!
In the meantime I'll be reading SFist :)

Oh man, i'm so sad. I loved reading Parisist.

Sniff...I'm a parisian exiled in the Philippines and it was a pleasure to feel the parisian's vibes on the blog. Well, take care and good luck for the future...

Disappointing, yes, because like the person from SF I read it in hopes to learn good things for my summer visit.

For the best, though. You rarely update the site and I can go a week not reading and only see one new article.

Are you serious?
